You did it sis! You’ve pulled the trigger and booked your boudoir experience. Now you’ve got to figure out what you’re going to wear. Don’t worry, we are going to send you a prep guide full of great tips on dos and don’ts and where to shop. But if you just googled “lingerie” and are overwhelmed by all the options out there, let us give you some places to start. In no particular order, here are some of our favorite places to shop for lingerie. And don’t worry, there is something here for every style, shape, size, and budget!
• Victoria’s Secret (www.victoriassecret.com) $$ - everyone’s first thought when they think lingerie, its a good bet you’re close enough to one to be able to shop in person if you want to be able to try stuff on (but don’t be afraid to venture beyond them to check out some of these other great places!)
• Free People (www.freepeople.com) $$ - great option for more of a boho, hippie vibe, also a great place for non-lingerie options like crop tees, tanks, and intimates
• Anthropologie (www.anthropologie.com) $$-$$$ - lots of beautiful lace and feminine options as well as flowy robes and slips
• Bordelle (www.shop.bordelle.co.uk) $$$$ - high end coordinating sets from the UK, pricey but excellent quality and gorgeous pieces
• Asos (www.asos.com) $$ - a wide variety of styles from flirty and feminine to sporty CK sets. Super affordable and size inclusive
• For Love and Lemons (www.forloveandlemons.com) $$$ - Lots of ruffles, lace and florals, sweet feminine coordinates and lots of white pieces for those bridal boudoir sessions
• La Perla (www.laperla.com) $$$$ - on the pricier end but beautiful statement pieces if you want to invest in a stunning look
• Torrid (www.torrid.com) $$ - Our number one spot for pieces for our curvy ladies
• Love Child Boudoir (www.lovechildboudoir.com) $$$$ - More like pieces of art than lingerie, she hand makes beautiful harnesses and body chains that look fabulous over a thong and pasties or over nothing at all • Thistle and Spire (www.thistleandspire.com) $$$ - one of my absolute favs. gorgeous sets and bodysuits and they are super size and skin tone inclusive!
• SHEIN (us.shein.com) $ - want to get LOTS of options for a minimal budget? SHEIN is the place to go. Tons of different styles as well as non-lingerie options, items come from overseas so take that into consideration regarding sizing and shipping times. Quality is in line with pricing but typically photographs well
• Oh La La Cheri (www.ohlalacheri.com) $$ - a favorite stop for teddies and bodysuits in all styles and colors
• Marie Mur (www.mariemur.com) $$$-$$$$ - we love them for their leather harnesses and accessories, but they have lingerie with an edgy vibe as well
• Fleur Du Mal (fleurdumal.com) $$$$ - beautiful bra and panty sets, not size inclusive
• Savage X Fenty (savagex.com) $$ -$$$ - Rhianna is killing the game with her gorgeous and affordable size-inclusive pieces. One of our favorite places to shop for the client closet (and personally!)
• Adore Me (adoreme.com) $$-$$$ - another site with a wide variety of styles in sizes in sizes from XS to 4x
• Honey Birdette (us.honeybirdette.com) $$$$ - beautiful high quality sets ranging from super feminine to bdsm inspired including some super sexy accessories like cuffs and collars. Unfortunately they are not very size inclusive.
• Blue bella (Bluebella.com) $$-$$$ - another favorite for bodysuits and bra/panty sets, and they have some killer body chain pieces
• Amazon (amazon.com) $ - like SHIEN, Amazon is a great way to get lots of looks for a little bit of money
So there you have some of our all time favorites. It is by no means an exhaustive list (though it certainly ended up being longer than expected!) but it should certainly give you a good place to start.
